A Spring Garden Tour Volunteer’s Perspective
I am so very glad to have been, and to be again, a volunteer for the Spring Garden Tour. Last year, I initially visited two Escondido gardens, that were a wonder to behold, both were visually and aromatically delightful.
I just want you to know how lovely all of the gardens were.
My volunteer assignment was at a relatively new garden, and I felt so fortunate to sit in the beautiful garden in Harmony Grove with such a joyous and energetic hostess and host. So, there I was amongst Protea, Leucadendron, Agaves, Matilija Poppy, Daisies, a Striped Fig Tree, . . . and, this was only my assigned section of the garden, there was so much more! Moreover, I felt lucky to be able to share this lovely garden with others.
Here are some of the lovely plants I was exposed to...
Maybe, you can volunteer for the upcoming San Diego Horticultural Society Spring Garden Tour too and see what a delight it is!
To Volunteer for this year’s Spring Garden Tour just click the volunteer button on the event website or send an email to volunteer@sdhort.org …
In exchange for working a morning or afternoon shift, spring garden tour volunteers receive free entry to the gardens.
