Have you seen all the pillows for sale this holiday season with book clubs like ours in mind? This version can be found on Amazon but other catalogs have "I Read Past My Bedtime" pillows for sale. This one is a Cotton Linen Decorative Throw Pillow Case/Cushion Cover, Square 18" X18.

The next SD Hort Book Club meeting is on Zoom, on December 6th, at 4:30 pm for Happy Half Hour and 5 pm for the Book Club proper. We are reading Suzanne Simard’s book Finding the Mother Tree.

At the recent coffeeless “Coffee In The Garden” at my home in Vista, CA, I spread the majority of the books that we are currently in the throes of voting on for the next quarter’s readings onto my conference table in the barn for all the bookies to see and I had a signup sheet for anyone who wished to join us and, guess what? Five people have joined our little reading group. Isn’t that great?

Please join me in welcoming Mimi M., Georgia K., Marlene Z., Helen G., and Ronee K. to the book club.

We now number 28 regular members plus some irregular members who come and go as their schedules allow and as the books interest them. The Zoom link to the meeting will be emailed to all the members.

If you haven’t voted yet on the list below please do so as soon as possible. Send your three top choices from the list to me k-england@cox.net

Please note that the previous list published did not include The Multifarious Mr. Banks by Toby Musgraves, it was cut off the list accidentally. If you have already voted and this addition changes your vote just email me your corrected vote.

VOTING ENDS DECEMBER 5.

At the upcoming book club meeting on Dec. 6, we will discuss the schedule for the next four months.

PLEASE VOTE! PICK THREE TITLES FROM THE FOLLOWING LIST BY DEC. 5:

Have you heard of sellbackyourbook.com?

I had not heard of it until recently when several of the books on our voting list that I bought online recently came with information about reselling the books when I’m done, and I’m passing along the info to you -

Once you’ve read and enjoyed a book but it’s not a keeper, why not sell your books at sellbackyourbooks.com! Go to https://www.sellbackyourbook.com/ and get an instant quote. They even pay the shipping to their warehouse. See what your old books are worth today!

Cheers for now,

Karen England
