NEXT HYBRID MEETING: Riley Black, When The Earth Was Green, February 21, Oasis, RB And Zoom

Riley Black is the bestselling and award-winning author of When the Earth Was GreenThe Last Days of the Dinosaurs, and more. A regular contributor to National GeographicSmithsonian, and Slate, as well as a repeat guest on NOVA and Science Friday, Riley has spent more than fifteen years bringing the public the latest about the deep past. When not enthusing over fossils in articles and books, Riley regularly volunteers with museum field teams to uncover new fossils.



Things to note: Riley will be off-site and Zoomed into the meeting at Oasis. It remains to be seen if the event can be recorded, so please make your plans accordingly.


This hybrid meeting will be on Zoom as well as in-person at San Diego Oasis, Rancho Bernardo, CA.

Online registration required for both Zoom and In-person

SD Hort Member (and their guest) registration is FREE and

in-person and Zoom non-member registration is $15.00


Note: The Plant Forum and the Door Prizes are only occurring for the in-person attendees. Zoom attendees only participate in the speaker presentation.

The Plant Forum has returned! So please bring some of your plants to share with members... 

 

All you have to do is:


1) Bring a cutting or a potted plant to a meeting.


2) BEFORE you leave home, take a minute to print out a slip of paper with the common and scientific name of the plant, where it is native to (if you know that), what city it is growing in, your name, and a couple of sentences about your experience with the plant.
