Join Pacific Horticulture February 13–18, 2018 for an immersive garden adventure in the semi-tropical clime of South Florida. From our base in Miami, we’ll visit The Kampong, a botanical garden that was once the private estate of Dr. David Fairchild, an influential horticulturist and plant collector. Other botanical garden visits include Montgomery Botanical Center and Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, both lush educational gardens committed to the conservation of tropical plants, and we’ll take in the exquisite beauty of a 20-acre estate known as Patch of Heaven. Our visit to R.F. Orchids includes a tour of the beautiful nursery and background on their history, production methods, and sales operation.
Also in February, join Pacific Horticulture as we return to Cuba to explore the eastern end of the island. With a vibrant history and culture, Eastern Cuba is home to an abundance of endemic species and pristine natural preserves. Accompanied by expert in-country guides, we’ll visit some of the region’s most historic cities and explore forests, beaches, waterfalls, and breathtaking landscapes.
Pacific Horticulture also invites you to Drama in the Garden on October 14th in the spectacular and immersive landscape at the Fallbrook home of Patrick Anderson and his partner, Les Olsen. Debra Lee Baldwin, succulent expert and bestselling author, will be on hand in the garden to sign the completely revised second edition of her book, Designing with Succulents.
