Please Welcome Our Two Newest Board Members – John Clements and Susi Torre-Bueno

Great News! At the most recent board meeting on May 19, 2025, John Clements and Susi Torre-Bueno were voted on to the board. John is taking over the organizing of the Sharing Gardens position (formerly called Coffee in the Garden or Open Gardens) and Susi, a former SD Hort Society president and newsletter editor, has rejoined the board, this time as a member-at-large where she is focusing her volunteer efforts on restoring and running the Plant Forum at the meetings. (See the Plant Forum article in this newsletter for more information.)

Please help them both with their efforts!

Contact John at SharingGardens@sdhort.org if you have a garden or know someone with a garden that would be willing to share their garden with our members.

Contact Susi at Susi@sdhort.org to assist her with the Plant Forum at the meetings.

These two wonderful additions to the board are great but did you know that you can join them because there are still open positions on the board? Positions that you can help the society with are membership, scholarships, school garden grants, garden tour, vice-president and there is another member-at-large position available.
