SDHS School Garden Grants Available

The mission of the San Diego Horticultural Society is “To inspire and educate the people of San Diego County to grow and enjoy plants, and to create beautiful, environmentally responsible gardens and landscapes.” In support of that mission, the Board decided at its March meeting to create our first school garden grants. SDHS will be donating $1000 this year to two schools in San Diego County.

The grant application period opens on June 1, 2019 and closes on July 1, 2019. Recipients will be notified of the award Aug 2019. Grant funds must be spent within 6 months of the award and receipts are required to document funds spent.

If you know of a school that would like to apply for this grant, please direct them to the online application.

Please contact info@sdhort.org if you have questions or need further information.
