NEWS: Festivals and More in May at SDBG

By Lisa Reynolds.

May is ‘blooming’ with activities and events at the San Diego Botanic Garden!

This year, we’re looking forward to two of our favorite annual events: the Chocolate Festival on Saturday, May 11, 9am – 4:30pm; and the Palm, Cycad, Bamboo and Tropical Plant Sale on Saturday, May 25, 9am – 3pm.

And don’t miss the 13th Annual Lung Hsiang Art Exhibit & Sale in the Ecke Building from 9am – 5pm daily from Tuesday, April 23 – Monday, July 8.

We’re also looking forward to celebrating both National Public Gardens Week from May 13–19, now hosted by the American Public Gardens Association (APGA), as well as Endangered Species Day on Friday, May 17.

National Public Gardens Day was created in 2009 to highlight the importance of building vibrant, relevant gardens committed to community enrichment and environmental responsibility. The APGA has now expanded this effort and made it into an entire week. Keep an eye on our website for updates on both of these garden-centric initiatives: SDBGarden.org
