NEWS: The Magic of Garden of Lights

San Diego Botanic Garden’s Garden of Lights

December 1-23 & 26-30

5PM to 8:30PM

After the sun goes down in December, San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinitas is transformed into a dazzling winter wonderland—Southern California Style!

Bring the family and experience the magic as 125,000 sparkling lights illuminate several spectacular garden areas, including the iconic Lawn Garden, Tropical Rainforest, Waterfall Deck, Undersea Succulent Garden, Eucalyptus Grove, Seeds of Wonder (children’s area), and Bamboo Garden, containing one of the most diverse bamboo collections in the country.

Join in the fun that includes horse-drawn wagon rides (on selected evenings) winding through several of the Garden’s enchanting 4 miles of trails. Enjoy nightly entertainment, marshmallow roasting, hot mulled wine (on selected evenings), and snow (now every night!).

The holidays wouldn’t be complete without a visit with Santa, who makes a special guest appearance at the Garden again this year from December 1 to 23. For more information, visit the Garden’s website.
