La Mesa Gardens
The 2019 Spring Garden Tour will spotlight unique and hidden gardens in La Mesa, a picturesque artist’s colony known as the Jewel of the Hills. Once a community of 700 citrus farmers, La Mesa later attracted Hollywood filmmakers. Today, from Mt. Helix to Grossmont and Fletcher Hills, we are seeking people with great gardens to feature as the stars on our tour.
Garden Tour Artisans
Besides great gardens, one of the things that make our tours special is the local artisans who sell their hand-crafted art at each garden. Tour goers can also watch plein air artists at work and take home personal, handmade gifts that will last a lifetime.
