As summer begins, our education classes at San Diego Botanic Garden really heat up! This month, we have several artistic offerings, including a new lavender wreath making class. Register online for one of these terrific classes or call 760/436-3036 x 201 today.

Mosaic Birds: Make a beautiful stained glass bird mosaic for your home! This class is fun and the technique is easy to learn. A pattern is available for you to use, or you can choose your own (with instructor’s permission). Saturday, June 2, 9 AM–4 PM.

Mosaic Flower Pots: Create a decorative mosaic terra cotta flower pot for your garden. Learn how to use a variety of irregular-shaped glazed tiles, square tiles, circles, glass gems, and more to make your own personalized flower pot. Thursday, June 7, 10 AM–2 PM & Friday, June 8, 10 AM–Noon.

Lavender Wreaths: Using fragrant, fresh Provence lavender, students will make a lovely, scented ten-inch to twelve-inch wreath. These wreaths dry beautifully and last many years. Herbs and other flowers will also be available to add to your wreath. Saturday, June 16, 10 AM–2 PM.

Photography Fundamentals and Creative Control: Ready to get more from your camera? Join Sandy Zelasko for this fun class as she reviews basic camera controls and how to apply them in everyday situations. Improve your photography using techniques covered in class, then go into the Garden to practice. Saturday, June 30, 9 AM–Noon.
