NEWS: PHS Launches Digital Classroom

By Princess Norman.

Pacific Horticulture Society (PHS) has launched Digital Classroom, an online learning series of talks connecting gardeners with some of the most intriguing horticultural and environmental issues of our time. These conversations are a great way to start "gardening like the Earth depends on it!"

Pamela Berstler, Executive Director of PHS and CEO of G3, Green Gardens Group, kicks off our classroom series with Gardeners are Superheroes for the Planet. Learn all about the integrated regenerative practices of the "watershed approach" which every gardener or landscape pro can implement on their own property to combat the impact of climate change. This approach results in highly functional gardens that are gorgeous and do not sacrifice aesthetics or user experience.

In May in this leading-edge series, Calla Rose Ostrander will "talk" about How much Compost is Enough? and present the latest science on carbon sequestration in landscapes for the benefit of the plants in your own front yard. More information on this series is in the 2019 Spring Issue of the Pacific Horticulture magazine and on the website.
