NEWS: 5K Paw Walk in the Garden

Plants, paws, and people unite for a fun day of socializing on the beautiful grounds of SDBG.

The Sixth annual 5K Paw Walk in the Garden will take place on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 8 to 11 a.m. The Rancho Coastal Humane Society and the San Diego Botanic Garden will join paws to raise funds that support people, plants, and pets.

It’s not a race. Walkers can cover the full 5K course, but that’s optional. You can see the course from a dog’s eye view. You don’t need a dog to participate—there are plenty of dogs there to pet.

There will be pet products for sale along with food (for people), and treats (for dogs). You'll also find information and displays for animal lovers, a photo booth, a pet first aid station, and (of course) dogs. And it's all for a good cause—the 5k Paw Walk in the Garden raised over $20,000 in 2017!

Rules, additional information, and registration are available online.

Day of event registration starts at 7:30 a.m. and paws cross the starting line at 9 a.m.
