Did you give some time to SDHS this year? If so, we want to say thanks! Volunteers are the heart of our group. More than 200 of you stepped up this past year by helping with the newsletter, at the Spring Garden Tour, the Del Mar Fair, the Spring Home/Garden Show, and at the many committees, meetings, and events that make Hort the wonderful group that we are.
On Saturday, October 7th, we’ll gather together all those generous folks for a breakfast party in the park. Like last year, we’ll be at San Dieguito County Park in Solana Beach, just a few minutes east of the freeway. It’s a lovely sylvan spot with easy access, plenty of parking, and trails to explore after the party if you’re a bit adventurous. There will be good food, door prizes, great conversation, and a plant and cuttings exchange. We will not be sending individual invitations, so watch for an email around mid-September with details. If you have volunteered since October 14th of last year, we hope you'll come! And if you have a little time and you’d like to help with the party, please call Patty at 760-815-0625 by September 9th.
